Here's a beautiful, hand made xiphos, from DIOSKOURI, featuring a highly figured olive wood handle.
My spearhead is fashioned after a Peloponnesian artifact. Notice the long, split-cone socket with a razor edge; typical on Spartan dorys. The bronze example seen with it is an actual 5th century relic from the southern Peloponnese. We can't say it's "Spartan" for 100% certainty, but it has all the correct earmarks.
This is my kopis. Hand made after the example in the British National Museum. Mine is Damascus steel with bronze fittings and black bone scales. Note the fine engraving on all the bronze areas
My present helmet was in need of a little help, so the good folks atDIOSKOURI engraved a beautiful design on it.
